WiseGRID integrates, demonstrates and validates advanced ICT services and systems in the energy distribution grid in order to provide secure, sustainable and flexible smart grids and give more power to the European energy consumer.   WiseGRID's main objective is to provide a set of solutions and technologies to increase the smartness, stability and security of an open, consumer-centric European energy grid.

Concept:   The project has developed a training toolkit for property valuation professionals on how to factor energy efficiency and renewable energy issues into valuation practices, understand the impact of building performance and property values and advise their clients accordingly.   Empirical studies consistently show that within several markets around the globe property pricing differs between buildings with “green features” and buildings without them.

Concept:   HANDIHEAT will focus on energy performance in rural housing and public infrastructure challenges in peripheral and arctic regions.   The overall objective of Handiheat is to develop a set of resources; implementation toolkits, decision making guides and a roadmap for the rural community housing sector. Pilots will provide visible proof and an enduring guide to what can be achieved.

Innsbruck is one of the pilot cities of the FP7 project SINFONIA, and selected its eastern district to demonstrate the large scale implementation of energy efficient measures, with the objective of achieving on average 40 – 50% primary energy savings in the demo sites and to increase at least by 30% the share of renewables in the district’s energy mix.
