  Transition strategies for delivering low carbon district heat     HeatNet will address the challenge of reducing CO₂ emissions in North West Europe (NWE) by creating an integrated transnational NWE approach to the supply of renewable and low carbon heat (incl. waste heat) to residential and commercial buildings, developed and tested in 6 local district heating and cooling networks (DHC) in UK, Ireland, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.

SAVES2 is a H2020 project that builds on a previous IEE funded project, SAVES, that expanded the Student Switch Off campaign from the National Union of Students in the UK to 4 other EU countries.   The project commenced in May 2017 and will last for 42 months. National Union of Students (UK) is the lead organisation and the consortium incorporates 11 partners from 8 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Romania, and the UK).

This technical guidance document has been published by the Irish Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government under article 7 of the Building Regulations 1997. The document accompanies the Building Regulations (Part L Amendment) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 259 of 2011) which amended Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Energy) of the Second Schedule to the Building Regulations 1997 (S.I. No. 497 of 1997). It amends Technical Guidance Document L - Conservation of Fuel and Energy – Dwellings (2011) including a new section on Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEBs).
