QualiBuild - Better Than Best Practice – Skills & Knowledge to Achieve Near Zero Energy Buildings Conference & Training

Share this Post:

The entire landscape of the construction sector in Ireland is rapidly changing.  Will you be a positive part of that change?  Speakers from Ireland and Europe will share their knowledge on the wide range of training and education opportunities available to help all involved in the construction industry achieve High Quality Near Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB).

The first day of this two day event will be a full conference of national and international speakers discussing the present and proposed initiatives to achieve nZEB and upskill workers around Europe, such as QualiBuild and Build up Skills (BUS) in Germany.

The second day will be a training course funded by the EU project SustainCo with expert speakers from Europe. They will discuss nZEB policy and legislation, cost optimisation calculations, design aspects and renewable technologies used to achieve Near Zero Energy Buildings with examples of case studies and technical and financial toolkits. Information on the SustainCo project (Sustainable Energy for Rural Communities) can be viewed in more detail at  www.sustainco.info and viewed on (the links page has more in-depth information on technologies and toolkits).

Why Attend?

The Conference intends to explore and discuss how the construction sector can respond to this ever changing environment and ensure that it has the appropriate expertise, skills and knowledge at all levels. This is necessary if Ireland is to construct and retrofit quality buildings to meet Near Zero High Quality energy standards.

Who should Attend?

Building construction workers, trades people, Engineers, Architects, public sector representatives, anyone with an interest in effecting positive change in the construction sector
