This support scheme was launched by the Malta Resources Authority (MRA) to encourage the use of roof thermal insulation material and double glazed windows or doors for domestic use.
The scheme is regulated by Government Notice 409 of 2012.
Grant percentage is 15.25% of the total eligible cost up to a maximum of EUR 1,000. However, applications from applicants who have received a grant for roof insulation and double glazing products since 2006 will not be accepted.
Deadline for applications was end of 2012.

The application for the grant is divided in two parts:
- Part A: must be filled in by the Applicant prior to the purchase of the technology and must be accompanied by the relevant Annex I and Annex II (detailed quotation from supplier) to part A.
- Part B: is the request for reimbursement and should be completed after the equipment has been paid for, installed and commissioned.
Any request for review should be submitted to the Malta Resources Authority within one month from the date of the rejection letter. The request will be assessed by the Review Committee. Procedures and guidelines to present such a request may be found on the following links:
