Quidos offers a wide range of Energy Assessment Training Courses, qualifications and continual professional development (CPD) learning opportunities.   Energy assessment training courses qualifications are all authorised by ABBE (Awarding Body for the Built Environment).   The following Accreditation Schemes are available:

Ecmk runs Accreditation Schemes for Energy Assessors wishing to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs), or Air-Conditioning Reports.   Offered training programmes are approved by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) and provide candidates with the knowledge, technical and professional skills required of an Energy Assessor.  Each candidate's competence is then formally assessed to ensure that they meet the relevant National Occupational Standard (NOS).

The Energy Trust offers training for Domestic (Level 3) and Non-Domestic Energy Assessors (Levels 3 and 4), air-conditioning energy assessors (Levels 3 and 4) and Domestic on Construction Energy Assessor.   Courses for Green Deal Advisor, Display Energy Certificate and Legionella Risk Assessment are also available.

The Act stipulates the obligation of carrying out energy audits, defines the contents of energy audits, the obligation of energy certification of buildings, and the requirements for granting authorisation to persons for performing energy audits and certification of buildings, as well as for performing regular inspections of heating and cooling or air-conditioning systems in buildings. Also penalties are established for building owners and authorised persons.

(Pravilnik o energetskim pregledima građevina i energetskom certificiranju zgrada) The Ordinance stipulates the obligation of carrying out energy audits for construction works and energy certification for buildings, in order to:establish the energy performance and the manner of energy management of construction works consuming energy and water andestablish measures for energy efficiency improvement, along with their cost-effectiveness.

TEM:n tukemat energiakatselmukset   The Ministry of Trade and Industry has been supporting energy audits and analyses of buildings and production processes since 1992. At the end of 2007, more than 6,800 buildings used for manufacturing and service production were covered by auditing activities. The annual impact on energy conservation is estimated at approximately 1 TWh.

This scheme is now closed.   Kuntien myöntämät korjaus- ja energia-avustukset   Within an approved authorisation in the State Budget, repair and energy grants can be awarded by The Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland for improvements in the condition and quality of individual apartments and apartment buildings.
