REMOURBAN Press release no. 1 – Valladolid, 29 January 2015.   The Kick off meeting for REMOURBAN, a far-reaching European project to create a sustainable urban regeneration model combining the latest developments in energy, mobility and ICT will take place the 17th of February. From 17 to 19 February, Valladolid-based Fundación CARTIF will be hosting the REMOURBAN project kick off meeting.  This project has been selected under the EU’s Lighthouse project scheme whose guiding principles are impact and replicability.

This course trains energy managers to be the top management representative, focussing on a top management – energy manager teamwork. The course is structured into 12 e-Learning modules, including illustrative case studies for buildings. The duration of each module is of about 10 minutes. The 12 modules total approximately 4-5 hours. The recommended duration to complete the course is 1 month.

ENACE’s (Entidad Nacional de Certificadores de Edificación) which is a nonprofit organization bringing together architects and engineers with specific training in energy efficiency in buildings whose aim is to generate confidence in the market and the overall general population regarding energy performance in the certification of buildings has just had their proposal accepted as an eligible commitment under the European Innovation Partnership for Smart Cities and Communities.

The Transnational Feasibility Study (TFS) explores the technological, financial, environmental and institutional aspects of energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy (RES) based solutions in heating public and in particular, historic buildings. Findings in regards to possible interventions on increasing RES and EE while reducing energy waste are compiled in this main output and linked to the other results of the project.
