The Student Switch Off (SSO) campaign is an inter-dormitory energy-saving competition that has been running in the United Kingdom since 2006. Over the academic years 2014-15 and 2015-16 the campaign was adapted and run in Lithuania, Greece, Sweden and Cyprus in the frame of the IEE project SAVES. Through a series of engagement activities and instruments students were enabled, empowered and motivated to save energy in their dormitories by adopting specific actions such as switching off appliances when not in use.

CERtuS (Cost Efficient Options and Financing Mechanisms for nearly Zero Energy Renovation of existing Buildings Stock) is an Intelligent Energy - Europe (IEE) project promoting nearly Zero Energy Renovation of existing buildings through the development of cost efficient options and financing mechanisms to bring real benefits for cities and citizens. It involves municipalities, energy service companies and financing entities from all economical stricken Southern European countries.
