The key objective of EEPLIANT2 is to help deliver the intended economic and environment benefits of the EU Energy Labelling and Ecodesign Directives by increasing the rates of compliance with the energy efficiency requirements. Seventeen Market Surveillance Authorities (MSAs) and a national agency from fifteen Member States work jointly to coordinate their monitoring, verification, and enforcement actions. In this regard, the project is expected to have a transnational impact across the EU Single Market.

  The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. Today, ISHRAE has more than 12,000 HVAC&R professionals as members and additionally there are 7,500 Student-members.   ISHRAE operates from 41 Chapters and sub Chapters spread all over India, with headquarters in Delhi. It is led by a team of elected officers, who are members of the Society, working on a voluntary basis, and collectively called the Board of Governors.

The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) released a new edition of CIBSE Guide B providing up to date guidance on the practical design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.   The guide was published in five separate chapters including new technology, revised sections on noise and vibration control, as well as new legislation.
