Where can I find information about the implementation of the European Energy Performance Directive into Czech law?

On 29th March 2006, the Parliament of the Czech Republic has adopted the amendment of Act on Energy Management (www.mpo.cz – just Czech version of the Act) transposing the EPBD into the Czech law by its Articles §6 (boiler & AIC inspection), §6a (requirements for new and renovated buildings, building certification). The Act came into force on 1st July 2006.

The amended regulations implementing Article §6 (boiler & AIC inspection) of the Act and specifying the methods of implementation (process of boiler & AIC inspections, technical protocols, etc.) are currently at the stage of debate and comments at the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is supposed to launch inspections in 2008.

The amended regulation implementing Article §6a (minimal requirements for new and renovated buildings, building certification) of the Act and specifying the methods of energy performance calculation were published (regulation 148/2007 Col.) and came into force on 1st July 2007. Minimal requirements for new & renovated buildings, buildings certification is mandatory after 1st January 2009.
