The EIB grants €300 million loan for new residential housing in Berlin

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted the Berlin housing company Gewobag a loan for €300 million to construct more than 2165 new flats by 2026. The funds will also be used to build childcare centres, assisted living facilities, and home for refugees. These seven construction projects will comply with the level 55 Efficiency House standard of the German promotional bank KfW - Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, and they will also comply with the EU Building Directive.

 

The key priorities of EIB are climate and the environment, development, innovation and skills, small and medium-sized businesses, infrastructure and cohesion.
