The Scottish government is currently undergoing a consultation to reform domestic and non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).
Editorial Team

The Scottish Government aims to enhance Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), providing building owners and occupants with increased information as part of their efforts to achieve net zero emissions. Proposed reforms intend to offer targeted and practical guidance for attaining net zero goals, particularly focusing on building efficiency, and by providing more relevant and insightful information for better evaluation of different building types.

In line with its commitment to achieve net zero by 2045 and interim reduction targets, the government has released a consultation to revamp both domestic and non-domestic EPCs to align with forthcoming heat regulations for buildings. EPCs are crucial for assessing building performance and tracking progress towards net zero.
