Craiova - pilot city for the ESCO programme in Romania

142 school buildings and one hospital from the city of Craiova, in Romania, will be thermally rehabilitated through the ESCO scheme for public buildings.

The ESCO programme was launched in May 2013 and in charge of the scheme is BERD which received funds from the Global Environmental Fund. Within the context of the programme, the selected cities will receive technical assistance for the identification and preparation of the energy efficiency projects targeting public buildings.
