European Energy Service Award 2019: Submit your sustainable energy project!

Are you an innovative and highly qualified energy service provider or promoter? Have you implemented a successful and pioneering sustainable energy project? Then apply to the European Energy Service Award (EESA) 2019!

 

The closing date for applications is 15 January 2019. The reference period of submitted applications must be the calender year 2017/2018.

 

The EESA will be awarded in the following categories:

 

1. Best European Energy Service Promoter

The EESA in this category honors individuals and institutions who have rendered outstanding services to the spreading of energy services in Europe. For successful concepts, strong multipliers are needed which recognize the potential behind these and provide for their implementation.

 

All activities can be submitted, which successfully address the following criteria:

 

CONTRIBUTION TO MARKET DEVELOPMENT

How have your recent activities contributed to the further market development for Energy Services in Europe? E.g. by Offering standardized products and project solutions? Offering institutionalized know-how-transfer? Creating political awareness in your project.

 

BARRIERS ADDRESSED

Which existing barriers have you been addressing within your recent activities? Informational, organizational, financial, legal.

 

2. Best European Energy Service Provider

Innovative and high-performance Energy Service Companies are elementary for the further development of the energy service markets. The prize in the category “Best Energy Service Provider” honors businesses that demonstrate outstanding energy savings, innovativeness and high service quality.

 

Relevant criteria are the candidates’ readiness to accept the risks of entering new markets, the innovativeness in the technical implementation and their role in the development of the energy services markets, exemplified in a successful milestone project.

 

CONTRIBUTION TO MARKET DEVELOPMENT

How have your recent activities contributed to the further market development for Energy Services in Europe? E.g. by readiness to take risks, offering standardized products and project solutions? Offering institutionalized know-how-transfer? Creating political awareness in your project.

 

INNOVATION IN TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

How do you estimate your innovative implementation in relation to standard solutions and what share of innovative solutions is based on own developments? Technology (application of advanced technologies and concepts, e.g. Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Efficiency Measures). Financing. Organisation and Concepts (e.g. user motivation).

 

3. Best European Energy Service Project

In this category, the jury will select up to three outstanding projects. All projects can be submitted, which successfully address the following criteria:

 

CONTRIBUTION TO MARKET DEVELOPMENT

How has your project contributed to the further market development for Energy Services in Europe? E.g. by replication potential, contribution to market development, innovative financing, technology or procedures, offering standardized procedures and products, marketing activities/know-how-transfer.

 

ENERGY SAVINGS AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Which results did you achieve within the scope of your project? Providing environmental, social, economic benefits (e.g. CO2-savings, job and wealth creation, lowering of costs) and project(s) volume (total savings energy in kWh and money, number of buildings involved, volume of baseline).
