The countdown to transpose the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) has started!
Member States have until March 2020 to translate into national law all the new requirements from the EU energy efficiency legislation affecting buildings. To discuss changes and challenges, but also opportunities, EuroACE (the European Alliance of Companies for Energy Efficiency in Buildings) has written a Guidance Note on the topic.
After several weeks of consultations with stakeholders, including at national level, EuroACE will present the final version of its Guidance Note in a series of webinars in cooperation with BUILD UP.
The first webinar took place on November 8th and addressed the long-term renovation strategies, which are the central tool of the EPBD for Member States to achieve impact, requiring them to transform their buildings into a highly energy efficiency and decarbonised stock by 2050.
Thank all the attendees for joining us at the webinar to learn more about the new requirements included in the long-term renovation strategies, what has changed, what remains, and how to make the most of the EPBD to bring the benefits of building renovation to all Europeans.
The webinar was moderated by Adrian JOYCE, EuroACE Secretary General, who also presented EuroACE Guidance Note Chapter on Long-Term Renovation Strategies.
The introduction and overview of EuroACE EPBD Guidance Note were given by Céline CARRE, EuroACE President.
Subsequently, the webinar counted with the presentations of Nora BEDNARSKI, Policy Officer, Unit ‘Energy Efficiency’, DG ENER, European Commission; and James DRINKWATER, Director, World Green Building Council Europe – BUILD UPON project.
At the end there was a Q&A session.
