List of National BUILD UP Skills Projects
Database that aided the quantitative part of the evaluation of BUILD UP Skills Pillar II. The database includes the quantitative targets set by each of the projects for each of the common performance indicators and results achieved.
In all countries* involved in the BUILD UP Skills initiative, national teams were formed. Each country team first worked on a detailed analysis of the national status quo. The aim was to assess and quantify supply and demand in the building sector until 2020 and beyond, and to identify specific skills shortages by craft occupation as well as key barriers.
This analysis formed the basis for broad discussions with public and private stakeholders about gaps, future needs and priorities, leading to the elaboration and endorsement of national roadmaps of priority measures to up-skill the qualification of craftsmen, other on-site workers and system installers of buildings. The identified measures aimed at reaching the 2020 targets in the building sector.
All country teams created an open discussion platform with stakeholders.
* In a second stage, country teams implemented the roadmaps developed in their countries, by designing and piloting new qualification and training schemes and/or upgrading existing ones.
