On June 28, 2016, the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) launched a new project aiming to ensure that all buildings are “net zero” by 2050.
The project involves eight green building councils from Australia, Brazil, Canada, German, India, the Netherlands, South Africa and Sweden initially, and Architecture 2030 as lead partner to provide technical expertise.

The IME Yépi Kaz project aimed to respond to the crucial lack of this type of equipment in the Antilles-Guyana area and to allow children to stay in Guyana with their families.
The association wanted a very functional building, but also territorially rooted.
The project design was done with a bioclimatic approach and energy efficiency based on the Amazonian Environmental Quality approach (QEA).

The EPBD Directive (in article 11(9)) requires the Commission to adopt, in consultation with the relevant sectors, a voluntary common European Union certification scheme for the energy performance of non-residential buildings.
