Poticanje ulaganja u održivi obnove zgrade je od vitalnog značaja za postizanje čiste energije tranzicije u Europi. Posebno to se odnosi i na zgrade su odgovorne za 40% Europske potrošnje energije i 36% emisije ugljičnog dioksida. Problem: ne postoji jednostavan način za gradove dobiti pristup izvorima financiranja, uključujući i one iz EU.

The Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group (EEFIG) was established in 2013 by the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy (DG Energy) and United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). EEFIG has created an open dialogue and work platform for public and private financial institutions, industry representatives and sector experts to identify the barriers to the long-term financing for energy efficiency and propose policy and market solutions to them.

This report investigates the extent to which Crowdfunding for Energy Efficiency (CF4EE) could play a relevant role in scaling up investments in energy efficiency in developing countries. Kommuninvest is a Swedish municipal cooperation set up in 1986 to provide cost-efficient and sustainable financing for local government investments in housing, infrastructure, schools, hospitals etc. The cooperation comprises 277 municipalities and 11 county councils/regions out of Sweden’s 310 local governments. Kommuninvest is the largest lender to the Swedish local government sector and the sixth largest credit institution in Sweden.
