BPIE analysed both EU and non-EU funding streams available in the region that could be used to improve the energy efficiency of the building stock. The analysis found that both funding supply into the region and demand coming from the region should be stepped up.

RentalCal Saloon at EXPO REAL   RentalCal is presenting the first official version of the RentalCal tool at an open "Saloon" at EXPO REAL    In cooperation with University of Regensburg, RentalCal is presenting the new RentalCal tool to guide house owners and consultants in the private rental housing sector in investing in energy efficiency.  The work with the development of the tool has led to a number of interesting studies in "Green premiums".

Energy performance contracts in the public sector offer a practical solution to make public buildings and other public infrastructures more energy efficient, as the initial investment can be covered by a private partner and repaid by guaranteed energy savings. However, frequently this type of contract simultaneously contains elements of a rental, service, lease, purchase or loan agreement, making its recording complex.

Yet, its potential is underexploited.
