This report from the French Agency ADEME proposes guidelines for the assessment of electricity demand-side management solutions in the residential sector, in connection with the development of smart grids.
The proposed methodology suggests that these demand-side management solutions are evaluated according to their benefits in terms of energy savings, CO2 emissions, reduction of peak demand and end-users satisfaction.
The objectives are to evaluate the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the tested solutions, in order to facilitate further implementation and help to define future regulations.
This document proposes guidelines and harmonised methods to calculate indicators for the projects in which electricity demand-side management solutions are implemented and tested.
