The AIDA (Affirmative Integrated Energy Design Action) project aims to accelerate the market entry of nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB) reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, which are important factors to reach the 2020 targets. AIDA supports building professionals and local authorities around Europe in designing nearly zero-energy buildings (nZEB). The target group is primarily municipal representatives as market multipliers on the demand side, as well as architects and master-builders on the supply side. AIDA offers action tailored to suit each of these target groups, such as regular study tours to innovative buildings, best practice-learning from operational success stories, presentation of innovative design software and active support for municipalities via an integrated energy design (IED) process.
