Advancing net zero status report 2020

The Advancing Net Zero (ANZ) Status Report 2020 highlights leadership action from GBCs and the building and construction sector towards achieving total sector decarbonisation.   We showcase action from across our Green Building Council (GBC) network including the 27 GBCs participating in WorldGBC’s global Advancing Net Zero project, as well as signatories to the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment (the Commitment).   Included in the report are:

WorldGBC Europe publishes advocacy manifesto urging decision makers to recognise vital role of built environment sector in delivering a climate neutral Europe

Today, over 20 countries from the World Green Building Council's (WorldGBC) Europe Regional Network (WorldGBC Europe) have published a manifesto, A Sustainable Built Environment at the Heart of Europe’s Future urging European decision makers to recognise the vital role that the built environment sector plays in delivering a climate neutral Europe.

WorldGBC launches project to ensure all buildings are “net zero” by 2050

On June 28, 2016, the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) launched a new project aiming to ensure that all buildings are “net zero” by 2050.   The project involves eight green building councils from Australia, Brazil, Canada, German, India, the Netherlands, South Africa and Sweden initially, and Architecture 2030 as lead partner to provide technical expertise.
