Environmental issues related to buildings

Following the success of previous International Conference on Energy, Environment and Economics, 4th conference will be held in Heriot-Watt University, Riccarton, Edinburgh, Lothians EH14 4AS, UK, 20-22 August 2019. ICEEE2019 focuses on energy, environment and economics of energy systems and their applications. Conference will provide forum for both researchers and academicians around the world to present original research papers.   Subjects in the scope of the conference are :

This report analyses the definition of a Zero Carbon building in the UK and compares national Building Regulations in Zero Carbon building with a Passivhaus Classic and renewables. The report highlights problems such as the performance gap, seasonal energy storage, and limits to deploying renewable energy. It sproposes Passivhaus as a feasible way to achieve Zero Carbon without massive renewable energy expansion coupled with a significant investment in grid capacity.

The installation is then planned and optimized through an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) tool, and finally, the selected refurbishment package of innovative technologies is deployed as a customizable Retrofit-Kit.
