Concept and objectives:   PRELUDE will facilitate the transition to clean energy by combining innovative, smart, low-cost solutions into a proactive optimization service.   The project is focused on assessing the right level of smartness necessary for any given household and then providing the optimal tools according to the needs of the user (occupant or tenant, owner or manager and energy service provider).

Concept and objectives:   Ashvin aims at enabling the European construction industry to significantly improve its productivity, while reducing cost and ensuring absolutely safe work conditions, by providing a proposal for a European wide digital twin standard, an open source digital twin platform integrating IoT and image technologies, and a set of tools and demonstrated procedures to apply the platform and the standard proven to guarantee specified productivity, cost, and safety improvements.

The 10th edition of our Expert talk hosts Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of EuroACE and Campaign Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign, which was initiated by EuroACE in 2011 in order to stop energy waste in buildings.   Its ambition is to reduce the energy demand of the building stock in the EU by 80% by 2050 as compared to 2005.

Concept:   Residential heating energy accounts for more than 30 percent of energy use in most countries of Europe and Central Asia, and even more than 40 percent in the Balkans. Previous construction and heating methods did not focus on saving energy and the environment.   As a result, a highly inefficient energy use intensifies the impact of escalating energy prices on low-income households.

Low-temperature district heating and cooling are setting the way towards decarbonising our cities. To this aim, 5GDHC by delivering low-temperature heat and cold to connected homes in a circular way, is a promising way to decarbonize our cities.   GreenFlex, with the help of all D2Grids project partners, is launching a platform to inform project developers, industries and investors who wish to uptake this heating and cooling technology and inspire new 5GDHC projects.
