The new INTEGRATED DESIGN PROCESS GUIDE developed within the European project entitled "Market Transformation Towards Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Through Widespread Use of Integrated Energy Design" acronym MaTrID is now available.   This guides aims at supporting the implementation of Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings until 2020 by application of Integrated Design processes. In this context, the application of Integrated Design during the building design phase is of particular importance.

The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), in the framework of the AIDA Project (IEE), will collaborate in organizing the “II Congreso de Edificios de Energía Casi Nula”- 2nd Congress of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings, which will be held on 6th and 7th of May 2014 in Madrid. The 2nd EECN Congress is the only event which takes place at a national level and comprehensively addresses all aspects of energy efficient buildings, in new building and rehabilitation.

The first GreenBuilding Integrated Design Award (GB ID Award) was granted on 1 April 2014 in Frankfurt during the IEECB conference.   Commendation goes to the Municipality of Evrotas (Greece) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with the Bassourakos Building-Cultural Center.

The first GreenBuilding Integrated Design Award (GB ID Award) was granted on 1 April 2014 in Frankfurt during the IEECB conference. The winner of the GB ID Award 2014 is Wirtschaftsagentur Wien supported by the design studio ATP architects engineers with the building aspern IQ in Vienna, Austria.
