In early May 2015, European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete, and the Moroccan Minister for Energy, Abdelkader Amara, unveiled three new Euro-Mediterranean platforms on gas, the regional electricity market, and renewables and energy efficiency. These platforms will facilitate partnerships between stakeholders and strengthen cooperation between the countries of the Union for the Mediterranean.
