Since the end of 2015, 15 partners from 7 European countries throughout Europe are working together in the BAMB project developing and integrating tools that will enable the shift to a circular built environment as well as testing environmental and economic benefits of circular buildings through six real-life pilot projects.

Next 20th September 2018 in Brussels, the BAMB team will present their core results and share experiences from pilot projects in order to demonstrate how BAMB tools can help to take significant steps on the path towards a circular future. One Planet Network will introduce the approach of and good circular practices from three global programmes on buildings, procurement and tourism that are committed to accelerate the shift towards sustainable consumption and production in both developed and developing countries.

The amended Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) contains a vision for 2050 for the buildings stock in the EU – it will have to be highly energy efficient and decarbonised, reaching cost-effective nearly zero energy levels. As a result, it is time for action and the Member States will need to be armed with all the right tools and resources to achieve this challenging and necessary vision.

A Trinomics led consortium, on behalf of The European Commission, will be delivering a conference in Brussels on 20 September 2018 on geothermal renewable energy research, development and technologies.
The complimentary conference will provide insights into the impacts of R&D funded through the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation; including providing access to the Geothermal Renewable Energy R&D Impact Report and an opportunity to influence the recommendations to increase future R&D impacts.

This Webinar, organised by the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE) and in collaboration with the BUILD UP team, is focused on teaching you all about Level(s), the new EU tool that provides a common EU approach to the assessment of environmental performance in the built environment.
The audience is aimed specifically at architects and all professionals in the building environment, who are interested in sustainable construction. There will be an explanation on how you can participate in future testing of Level(s).

Mission Innovation has launched a new recognition programme Mission Innovation Champions to celebrate and support innovative individuals who are accelerating the clean energy revolution. The programme was launched at the occasion of the Third Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-3) on 22-23 May 2018 at Malmö, Sweden, and is currently accepting registrations.

The Report "Understanding user needs" is an analytic report based on a survey of 1500+ participants from Bulgaria, Poland and Portugal.
The iBRoad project aims to eliminate barriers to deep renovation by developing an Individual Building Renovation Roadmap for single-family houses. The tool provides a customised renovation plan over a long-term period (10-20 years), which considers the occupants’ needs and specific situations.
