This scheme is now closed.    Széchenyi Terv Zöld Beruházási Rendszer   On October 2011 the Hungarian Ministry of National Development launched a tender of HUF 2.97 billion under the Green Investment Scheme (GIS) for the procurement and installation of solar thermal collector systems for hot water generation and/or heating in residential buildings. The application deadline was 31 March 2012.    Eligible to apply were private persons and condominiums comprising maximum 12 homes.

Energieeffizient Sanieren Kredit   The KfW promotional programmes for the KfW Efficiency House provide funds in the form of either a grant or a loan to anyone investing in the energy-efficiency refurbishment of an older residential building or the construction/initial purchase of new or newly refurbished KfW-efficient home.   The energy standards for a "KfW Efficiency House" are laid out in the Energy Conservation Ordinance Energiesparverordnung /EnEV) and apply to new buildings.

This scheme is now closed.   From autumn 2012, housing blocks in Romanian municipalities that are county capitals will be entitled to financial support to increase their energy efficiency.   The financing scheme will apply to housing blocks built during the period 1950-1990, and inhabited by vulnerable social categories and families with low income in municipalities that are county capitals.

The scheme uses an Energy Service Company (ESCo) to implement energy efficiency measures – in this case, retrofitting public buildings and enabling organisations to cut running costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions. The ESCo guarantees the level of energy savings, thus offering a secure financial saving over the period of the agreement.

It will use the money on projects to demonstrate how a city of the future might work.It will use analytical software and security cameras to help identify and prevent crime in the city and monitor energy levels to find new ways of providing gas and electricity to poorer areas where fuel poverty is a big issue.

We have an international team of 18 professionals working on a range of PPP issues alongside Member States.

The mission of the National Fund, according to the NFEP&WM Strategy for 2009-2012, is to financially support undertakings intended for environmental protection and respecting its value, on the basis of the principle of sustainable development included in the constitution. We participate in implementation of the environmental policy in/of Poland as a source of financing and cooperate, along with the Ministry of the Environment, with commissions of environmental protection at the Sejm and Senate.

A financial support programme by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development for house builders that erect buildings which generate significantly more energy than the building uses for its operation if balanced over a year. The surplus energy shall be used especially for electromobility. Model projects will be supported partly for using innovative technologies (renewable energies in buildings, e.g. pv, wind, biofacades) and the accompanying research.

This follows the agreement reached in ‘Trialogue’ (European Commission, Parliament and Council) on 22 May 2012. Further to this, on 10 July 2012 the Environment Council also adopted the Initiative. Once published in the Official Journal, the regulation will enter into force. The aim of this initiative is for private companies to issue project bonds, guaranteed by the European budget, in order to finance important infrastructure projects in the area of transport, energy and information technology. €230 million will be set aside for guarantees during the pilot phase of the project.
