This case study represents a rehabilitation and energy renovation of a 1970 condominium. It consists of a small joint ownership of 23 lots in Sevran (in Paris suburbs) as part of the "OPAH Quartier Rougemont" with the operator OZONE.

This is the first block of housing certified in Spain built in 2017 under the Passivhaus standard, and therefore has a demand for heating below 15kWh / m2a, and a heating load of 10W / m2.
This implies that a floor of 75m2 will have a heating load of only 750W, so with a hair dryer there would be enough to heat two houses.

El hotel Arima (2017) ha obtenido el precertificado Passivhaus que le ha otorgado la empresa Energiehaus el mes de abril del 2019.
Con este galardón, se honra el esfuerzo realizado por parte de la promotora CLIVING15 y de la constructora Miguel Imaz Constructores, para convertir un proyecto que ha empezado conforme el Código Técnico, en un hotel de referencia en eficiencia energética a nivel nacional.

Among the STUNNING case studies, we find the Torrelago district, which is an apartment block built between 1977-1981.
Torrelago district involves 31 private multi-property residential buildings (1488 dwellings) that were constructed in the 1970s–1980s, more than 140,000 m2 and 4000 residents involved.

This Norwegian demonstration building is a two-floor building with eight small dwellings in total, located at Haugerud in the city of Oslo. Haugerud is a suburb in the east of Oslo with housing developments and houses built around the metro station. This renovation is part of a Horizon 2020 project 4RinEU.

Situated on the Stonehouse peninsula, by the banks of the River Tamar, Number 3 Admirals Hard was built in the 1960s and comprises a shop on the ground floor and WARM's office, originally a flat, on the first floor. The extensive retrofit works included external wall insulation, cavity wall fill, floor insulation (between the office and the shop), roof insulation at rafter level, high levels of air tightness and high-performance triple-glazed windows, as well as a self-balancing MVHR system.

A more than 12,000 m² glass envelope covers all of the buildings in this further training academy. PV systems were integrated into the roof surfaces and the south-west surfaces of the glass envelope on the sides. The almost 3200 PV modules have a varying solar cell packing density.

The A2PBEER research project focused on “energy efficient retrofitting” methodology for public buildings. Within the context of this project it has been developed an initial systemic energy efficient buildings’ retrofitting methodology for the three demonstration sites with the intention to provide a retrofitting methodology to be replicated into Public Buildings in Europe. This will take advantage of synergies derived from interventions at the district levels.
