Even though rejected heat from a number of industrial processes is called waste heat it often contains large amount of exergy and could be efficiently reused through one of the many waste heat recovery technologies. This simple web-calculator may be applied to analyse four most common waste heat recovery technologies from both technical and economic perspective. Any calculator user can use one’s own data on waste heat source, choses one’s own application of four considered technologies, checks its adequacy and predicts basic techno-economic parameters.

ZERO-PLUS is a comprehensive, cost-effective approach for the design, construction and monitoring of Net Zero Energy Settlements (NZESs). The proposed approach was applied in four case studies in different climatic settings, France, UK, Italy and Cyprus.   ZERO-PLUS settlements exceed the state of art by setting performance objectives requiring improvement relative to other energy-efficient buildings.

The purpose of the report is to present an overview of the underlying programs and procedures that have been created and integrated in order to provide functionality to the ZERO-PLUS monitoring schema.   For the monitoring purposes of the ZERO-PLUS case studies data were collected from many monitoring devices and aggregated in the Web-GIS platform.
