A marketplace for open datasets and open-source services for buildings

The MODERATE project aims to create a marketable open data solution for optimised building services.
Editorial Team

The MODERATE project aims to improve the exchange of building data and interoperable data-driven services in Europe's construction sector. It addresses challenges in sharing and utilising building data, complying with regulations like GDPR, and promoting interoperability among data sources.

MODERATE develops a protocol for secure data sharing, an open platform integrating AI, ML, IoT, and Distributed Ledger technologies, and synthetic data generation techniques to facilitate open data sharing. The project combines top-down and bottom-up data collection methods to create high-quality building datasets, and it has shown promise in classifying energy performance certificates and assessing photovoltaic installations.

MODERATE seeks to enhance data quality, enable confidential data exchange, and support the building industry and policymakers.
