A novel technology termed smart energy management leverages IoT concepts to improve energy efficiency and minimise wastage in buildings. This research aims to explore the impact of household energy management knowledge on energy consumption, user behavior, associated costs, and environmental impact. 

By surveying 100 valid responses in Palestine, the study evaluated occupants' awareness and consumption patterns. The findings suggest that implementing smart energy management systems in residential buildings can reduce energy usage and enhance overall performance, contributing to sustainability. Education and awareness initiatives are crucial for promoting energy savings.
