The Third International CEDEF Energy Forum: "Energy supply and energy security in South-Eastern Europe" aims to highlight the ways and possibilities to increase energy security by comprehensive analysis of energy resources and reserves and existing infrastructure for energy distribution in the region of Southeast Europe, and to provide suggestions for improving this sector.

Energy security, economic development and efficiency of environmental protection, have long been the main objectives and correlated to national economies. Particularly when even after more than 30 years since the first energy crisis is not fully resolved the most important equations of the global world - providing sufficient energy, in economic, and environmentally friendly way, because the demand for energy is constantly increasing.

Energy security and economy of one region can be achieved through the safety delivery of energy  and security of energy supply. There are many critical points of the future energy status in region, primarily insufficient number of energy capacity, with the constant growth of demand for energy. The average annual growth rate of demand for energy in the JIE region is estimated at 2.3%, which is twice more than the previous decade.
