Recent results published by the French Energy Agency ADEME show that in the year 2013, 265,000 private owned dwellings and houses were renovated in France for a better energy performance. This corresponds to a 1.3% increase compared to the 2011 figures. 90,000 energy renovations were executed in one stage in 2013, while others began 2 or 3 years prior to 2013 and were finished in 2013. The average renovation budget is 5,210 € (including taxes), with 65% of the energy renovations below 5,000 € and only 15% above 10,000 €. Energy renovation works are mainly executed by professionals, and only 8% of them by owners themselves. The main financing tool used for these energy renovations remains tax credit.
