Student Switch Off (SSO) is an inter-dormitory energy-saving competition run in 17 different university housing providers, housing 24,976 students in five countries over the academic years 2014/15 and 30,349 in 2015/16 respectively (55,325 students in total over two years). SSO is part of the SAVES project, a project funded by the EU.

Το Υπουργείο Ενέργειας, Εμπορίου, Βιομηχανίας και Τουρισμού της Κύπρου ανακοίνωσε ότι σύμφωνα με τις πρόνοιες της πρώτης πρόσκλησης για υποβολή προτάσεων στα πλαίσια του Σχεδίου «Εξοικονομώ – Αναβαθμίζω στις Κατοικίες», το ποσό που θα διατεθεί για τις ανάγκες του Σχεδίου ανέρχεται στα €8 εκατομμύρια ευρώ.

ZERO-PLUS is a project receiving funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme ( Grant Agreement No. 678407) aiming to develop and implement a comprehensive, cost-effective modular system for Net Zero Energy (NZE) settlements in a series of case studies across the EU. The full project acronym is "Achieving near Zero and Positive Energy Settlements in Europe using Advanced Energy Technology".

Στα πλαίσια του Ευρωπαικού προγράμματος καινοτομίας «ZERO Plus», προβλέπεται ολιστικός σχεδιασμός και η κατασκευή μεταξύ του 2018 και 2020, τεσσάρων οικισμών μηδενικής ενεργειακής κατανάλωσης στην Κύπρο, τη Βρετανία, τη Γαλλία και την Ιταλία. Στόχος είναι η κατασκευή και η διαχείριση του κάθε οικισμού να καταναλώνει από 0 έως 20 κιλοβατώρες ανά τετραγωνικό μέτρο ετήσια.

Investor Confidence Project (ICP) Europe is developing a suite of building energy renovation roadmaps - Energy Performance Protocols - that aim to reduce transaction costs by assembling existing standards and practices into a consistent and transparent process. These tools then enable a marketplace for building owners, project developers, utilities, public programmes and investors to trade in standardised energy efficiency projects.

On Thursday 22 October 2015, the European Commission, in its monthly package of infringement decisions, requested eleven Member States (Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, and Spain) to ensure the full transposition of the Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU).
