“My Europe 2050” e-learning tool

My Europe in 2050 lets you choose how we will change the European "Machine" in the next decades. How we will move, live, eat and consume, how we will change the agriculture, transport, energy generation, building sector and production systems.


Explore how you can keep the machine's output below 30 gigatons of greenhouse gases. This is the budget available for Europe if we want to take a fair reduction share to keep the 1.5° C target formulated in the Paris Agreement.


We invite you to find the most relevant levers to reduce emissions and to follow the interconnections and flows between the different sectors by “operating” the machine.

In addition to the Transition Pathways Explorer, this tool can be also used for educational purposes. The My Europe in 2050web application was planned in the beginning as a simplified educational web tool for trainees and students in the field of business and technology.


However, since the TPE application has achieved a high degree of accessibility, which also makes it usable for students, the target group of the ‘My Europe in 2050’ web application was adjusted both in terms of qualifications and age structure.


Accordingly, the connection to the EUCalc MOOC is given, but not as prominent as originally intended, as the Transition Pathways Explorer also meets the requirements of academic education when accompanied and guided appropriately.


In its final design the My Europe in 2050web application became an added value due to the fact that it addresses a broader target group as well by using a different design.
