The deviation between the two can be a result of errors in design, construction or commissioning, due to the technical performance of building components and installations that don’t meet the design requirements. But equally, incorrect assumptions in the calculation can largely affect the results, for example the user influence that is simulated in a different way.

Sulgrave Gardens comprises 30 family homes in four blocks with a mix of typologies (houses, apartments and maisonettes) and tenures (9 homes for affordable rent, 13 for shared ownership and 8 private houses) in a conservation area in West London. At the time of certification, Sulgrave Gardens was the largest Passivhaus development in London. The scheme is arranged in four blocks. Two are Passivhaus certified and two designed to Passivhaus principles.

  A System for Quality Assurance when Retrofitting existing buildings to Energy efficient buildings     The IEE SQUARE project aimed to assure energy efficient retrofitting of multifamily housing with good indoor environment, in a systematic and controlled way. To achieve this, a quality assurance (QA) system for retrofitting and maintenance has been adopted to conditions in several European countries and implemented in four pilot projects in Austria, Spain, Sweden and Finland.

Sustainable Energy Investment Forums (SEI Forums) is an initiative of the European Commission aiming to boost large-scale investment and financing for sustainable energy by working with national stakeholders. A series of SEI Forums will be organised in up to 15 Member States in 2016-2019.

KredEx is a government owned non-profit provider of financial services established in 2001 by the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (MoEAC). In 2009, KredEx setup the KredEx Revolving Fund. The Fund provided soft loans for multifamily apartment building owners who wished to reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency of their homes.
