The historic residential building is located in the city center of Bolzano. It was built in 1926, near the old town, and it has hardly been changed on the outside, thanks to well thought-out renovation measures from the inside which ensure a new level of comfort and a minimization of the energy demand of the building.

Västerås’ old industrial harbour is being transformed into a new neighbourhood with nature at its heart. It is therefore fitting that Sweden’s tallest wooden-framed building (as of 2018), Kajstaden, sits in the entrance to the new development. All load-bearing elements of Kajstaden – its walls, floors, beams, and roof – are constructed from locally-sourced CLT, using 3m tall panels that reduce the need for cutting on site, and allow for all nine storeys to have high ceilings, creating spacious and light-filled living spaces.

In the aftermath of the 2007 global financial crisis and rampant global warming –and perhaps the demise of “starchitecture” as a default procedure to build urban identity–, the Palazzo del Cinema Locarno project is guided by principles of economy, trying to capitalise in the existing structure and the public affection for the Palazzo Scolastico –which used to host the local schools and now hosts a variety of NGOs and community associations, to provide an architectural identity for the new cinema complex in Piazza Remo Rossi in Locarno, in the shores of Maggiore

The 'Bale House' is the new Visitor Centre in Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve, funded by Hastings Borough Council with grant aid from the Interreg NWE programme.
From the foundations to facade, it is constructed from natural and recycled materials which are healthy, fireproof, breathable, and they lock up carbon from the atmosphere, recycling agricultural by-products.

As part of Finland’s centenary celebrations, Helsinki is now home to Oodi. It is a magnificent hybrid wooden construction and landmark that serves to refresh the city’s library services for 150 years to come.
The centrepiece of the library, which will serve as a flexible open public space for an estimated 10,000 daily visitors, is a gigantic wooden bridge structure that extends out towards the Finnish Parliament across the Citizens’ Square.
