Concept:   Old buildings in seismic-prone areas are increasingly vulnerable to earthquakes.   They are also high energy consumers due to their outdated energy designs. Existing retrofitting methods for old buildings treat structural and energy issues separately, disregarding a holistic approach.

ASHVIN team has released the 1st version of its IoT platform, which will serve as the backbone of key project activities.    ASHVIN IoT platform (AIP) is a modern, scalable and secure IoT platform which can be deployed in cloud or on premise. It is meant to be run on Linux machines, but can be also deployed on Mac and Windows machines natively.

Concept:    Within the C3PO project (Co-creation 3D printing with companies) an acceleration of the 3D printing technology in Flanders is aimed for.   With financial support from both the province Antwerp and Europe, during the upcoming years, 1.6 mio euro will be used to foresee among others a real 3D printer at Kamp C in Westerlo.
